We’re in Auckland for a 4 hour stop over. What DO you do in Auckland International airport for 4 hours?

Thanks to all at mpc for the kind words and generous send off… especially the WoW group who have been dropping in meals this week while we’ve been packing and getting ready to go. (more…)

The Schedule

On our long service leave we’ll be mixing fun and research. Here’s a quick rundown on where we are heading.
a) LA - a quick visit to Universal Studios, and also Rick Warren’s Saddleback Community Church. Will there be any difference?
b) Vancouver, to visit Lou’s sister Ruth, Rod and Mary.
c) New York… for a pastor’s conference at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on the weekend of June 4-6. This could be interesting. Visit Redeemer’s website at http://www.redeemer.com/
d) A few days in Philadelphia to take a look at a network of ‘New Life’ Presbyterian Churches.
e) London and Reading… catching up with Andrew and Sarah Poyser, and our old friends Piers and Carolyn Bickersteth.
f) Capetown, then Stellenbosch (just up the road a little) to settle in for a five week visit. Speaking on Matthew 1-5 at Stellenbosch Uni Mid-Year Conference, and preaching each Sunday at CrossWord Church, Somerset West.
